Company Background with Respect to Product(s)

iFIDS.com Inc. evolved from a partnership between Aviation InterTec Services (AIS) and the Thunder Bay International Airports Authority Inc (TBIAAI). AIS is a recognized expert in the field of aviation related web-based software and database development who maintains a host of customers nationally and internationally. The TBIAA is recognized as a leader in low cost operations remains one of the lowest priced airports in the world and is the only airport to have retired its Airport Improvement Fee (AIF).

The entity iFIDS.com Inc. was incorporated in 2000. The technical capabilities pre-date iFIDS.com as they have been resident in Aviation InterTec Services since its corporate inception in 1997.

iFIDS.com products have always used basic Internet browsers as the client user interface. This is the major product and service differentiation from traditional enterprise level applications that are now attempting to convert legacy systems to web-based systems.

Product Suite

RAAS (website)

The initial solution provided by this technology is the “Remote Aviation Access System” (RAAStm), an aircraft maintenance planning, inventory, cost, and records/knowledge management system for regional, national and international airlines. Literally years ahead of the industry, RAAS has tremendous potential now that browser-based solutions and the Internet in general are gaining wider acceptance as a superior application delivery medium. Note: This system is fully audited and approved for use by the Transport Canada.

RAAS integrates aviation technical data functions including Technical Records, Inventory Control, Maintenance Planning, Purchasing, Inspection Document Management, Maintenance Production Control, Component Reliability, and Technical Logbooks. RAAS offers clients a quantum leap forward in terms of quality assurance, asset management/inventory control, and operational efficiency. Implementation and use of the system results in an “intelligent” integrated database. The heart of modern aircraft management business unit is the technical records group and its relationship to Engineering/Quality assurance.

RAAS is the technical cornerstone of all iFIDS.com products. With 1.5 million lines of code and proven to be reliable in a sector of the industry that is subject to repeated and intense audits, the technical expertise gained through the development of RAAS assures that other products such as Aileron run reliably immediately upon installation.

iFIDS (website)

The second iFIDS.com product developed offers flight information systems (FIDS). The beta test FIDS was installed at the Thunder Bay International Airport in March 2000 and this system was updated to the full Internet flight information display (iFIDS), gate information display (GIDS), and baggage information display (BIDS), systems in November of 2000. These systems include the iFIDS.com imaging, messaging, and full motion video technology as well as our touch-screen Kiosks, “Fast Track” flight notification system and new flight-search utility. Systems have been installed in London, Hamilton, Thunder Bay, Prince George, Kelowna and Nassau, Bahamas. An installation is pending in Deer Lake, Newfoundland.

FIDS Data Distribution

Re-distribution of air carrier flight data from our host to third-party airport FIDS began in 2002. Since that time we have developed a data distribution network that ties into airport FIDS at St. John’s, Deer Lake (NFLD (pending), Moncton, Saint John (pending), Charlottetown, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton, London, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Prince George, Abbotsford, Vancouver, Victoria and Nassau, Bahamas.
